- Is MIS a full-boarding school?
- Yes. All pupils from Year 4 upwards board full-time, with structured holiday periods three times a year. We do not offer day-scholar places.
- What curriculum do you follow?
- The lower and middle years follow a curriculum aligned with CISCE and CAIE frameworks, taught with IB-inspired pedagogy. Years 11 and 12 are taught entirely on the IB Diploma Programme. We have been an authorised IB World School since 2004.
- How many girls are in each class?
- We cap class sizes at twenty, with most subjects in the senior school taught in groups of twelve to fifteen.
- What is the language of instruction?
- English. All pupils additionally study Hindi, and have the option of Sanskrit, French, Spanish, or Mandarin.
- How do you handle pastoral care?
- Each residence is led by a resident Housemistress and a team of tutors. There is a school counsellor on campus full-time and a 24-hour medical centre.
- Can parents visit during term?
- Yes — within the framework of our visiting weekends, which are published in the school calendar. We ask families to respect the rhythm of the boarding house.
- Do you offer scholarships or bursaries?
- We award a small number of needs-based bursaries each year. The process is confidential and runs alongside the main admissions cycle.
- Is the school safe?
- The campus is gated and staffed twenty-four hours. Safeguarding policies are reviewed annually and audited by an external safeguarding consultancy.
